Compared to Cuisinart, this motor is very noisy. I broke my Cuisinart because I got it from a neighbor and couldn't find the instructions. The Cuisinart didn't have anything to prevent the blade from breaking, which is great because it has this flexible thing that allows the blade to change direction if the thing inside gets too hard. I made a frozen food mix that gives me a head start on making ice cream so it only took me about five minutes to make a batch. I'm not a person to measure, however, and I didn't like that the neck was tiny, which ended in a dirty motor and cap. I can see how overfilling can damage the car or just leave nasty things in the port fitting forever. In general, the ice machine works, nothing to complain about. In fact, the machine is well designed for self-defense, so even someone who doesn't know about it can make ice cream without damaging anything. But on the other hand, the motor is very noisy and I am worried about its durability.
