Old age dims the sight and makes threading a needle much harder than in the past. These threaders are relatively more sturdy than anything that comes in any sewing collection. Have used one out of the set for more than a week, threading needles constantly on the craft project I'm working on. The wire part of the threader still holding up. For comparison, I wrecked / destroyed 15 of the flimsy, cheap metal foil and wire threaders in the same time period. I'd say it works. And there are still more threaders in the collection if I do mess this first one up. It's a win-win for me.
