I've never been a big fan of this but I have a Dell XPS 15 next to a 34 inch curved monitor. I usually put my computer on the table. However, after 5 minutes of using and going into the Dell it was immediately clear that this was the right way to set it up. I liked it so much that I bought it for my office. The device is inexpensive. It's stable, strong and efficient, and holds the computer very securely (I was afraid it would slip out, but it didn't). In a word, the guys hit the mark. If you're looking for a stand to elevate and cool your laptop, this is the one for you.
