I'm sorry to have to rate this product harshly but the car plug that fits into the jack socket does not fit. It will not seat properly so the contacts will not make electrical contact. Basically I had to remove one side of the nest wall. A real agony, and then, and only then, the car's connector went into the jack. I then used electrical tape to attach the connector to the latch body. If you don't want or don't want to spend a lot of time fiddling with the socket in general, you should stay away from this particular manufacturer. The difference between an OEM socket and a replacement socket is very clear. After I made the change and installed the latch it worked great.
