Honestly you're paying a low price for poor quality. I had an issue that resulted in my key fob's key ring detaching from the fob itself and this product prevents that by enclosing the entire fob and that is the only reason I gave it two stars instead of one. It keeps my keychain intact and protected. That's pretty much where the good parts are. I would advise you not to completely close this case around your keychain as this product has no way of reopening once closed other than whipping it until a tear appears and then sticking a knife in the slot. I would advise you not to fully close it and leave a crack, other than the fact that I've been trying for hours and haven't really come close to fully closing it. It always stayed open at one of the hinges, even when I tried to close it with pliers. This case doesn't actually fit my 2017 Ford F-150 five button key fob despite what they say. The key fob that came with the kit fails on the rod that was supposed to hold the key fob. When you screw the rod "all the way in" it only takes a quick glance to see that the threaded end has some more work to do before it hits the outside edge, leaving the screw head sticking out on one side and a small hole . with someone else. It also continued to come loose, likely due to poor threading. Luckily I keep my keys in my pocket and have never lost my key fob as a result. The solution to this problem is to apply superglue to the hole and then quickly thread the rod. The included mini slotted screwdriver was a good idea, but bad in practice. It's not as thick as a slot in a screw head causing you to slip on something small and something unreliable as you have to align the holes without the key fob moving the rod, once the holes are aligned then you have to actually tuck your hands away from that delicate operation to reach for an ill-fitting mini flat head that slips off and ruins the operation. My nail actually fit the slot much better and I didn't have to take my whole hand out of that slot. The only reason it has two stars is because the case solved an issue I had with my keychain. Otherwise deserves one star
