Yes, expensive. No, don't forget that you have a trailer behind you. As a contractor and farmer driving nearly 50,000 miles a year, I decided to give it a try. After a week of use I'd say it really improves the driving experience when towing; less "bump" from trailers when hitting a bump, less back-and-forth when driving on the interstate, and no feel of push and pull at high speed on the interstate. So even if the ride quality improves by only 30-40%, it seems like it costs money over the life of the hitch and you will long forget how much the hitch cost instead of being reminded that you bought it have not bought .and not yet experienced. Freight/Road with conventional coupling.
