So my car has been smelling for quite some time and a few weeks ago I finally decided to get to the bottom of it. I ripped out the seats, armrest, seat belts, some trim and carpet, sprayed everything with vinegar and Odoban and found a huge chunk of mold growing under the back driver's side seat. I gathered it all up, wet it with vinegar, wiped it all around to keep the spores from spreading, and put it all back together. So at that moment the car smelled of rot, vinegar and odoban. -___- It's like I've done nothing but add more fun scents. So I've been reading about ozone generators for about a year. Based on the good reviews, I decided to try this Scent Slammer as a last resort to just ditch the carpet and rear seats. And just WOW! I put the Scent Slammer on the armrest forward, left it on overnight and went back to the car this afternoon. It smelled like ozone, good or bad (I don't hate that smell). I left the windows open for a couple of hours while getting literally everything out of the trunk, propped up the floorpan to allow airflow access to the spare tire area, and ran the Scent Slammer there for an hour as well. I finished that and had the trunk vented while sitting in the car with the windows rolled up. I sniffed around and it smelled like it. really nothing special. Scent Slammer removes all odors in the car! I ran it again tonight when it was sitting up center in the rear seatbacks and I removed the floor mats to put some ozone on the floor carpet for the finishing touch. The back seat area is also where mold has grown, so the more ozone the better. I can't wait to be able to use my car without having to smell it all the time! I probably use this for clothes and shoes too and will report when I do.
