Review on πŸ“€ Coby DVD-224 Compact DVD Player: Enjoy High-Quality Entertainment Anywhere! by Steve Rohde

The month didn't last

I had to return this player when it started making a lot of noise for no reason (the only thing that stopped the noise was a loud buzzing sound as to whether he had a DVD in it or not). When this happened I had it for less than a month. However, I was disappointed with this player for several reasons: 1) No fast forward and rewind button. They use the "skip" button for each of them, which made it difficult to get to the spot on the DVD that I needed (because it stops every time it skips to a new chapter - so if you're too one minute before the break of the very last chapter, you have to jump to the previous chapter and then fast forward to the point you want). 2) After pausing for an hour (I never found out how long it was...but less than an hour has passed) the player will go back to the beginning of the DVD. It doesn't matter if I press the stop button or the pause button. Since I often watch a movie for a night or two, it's important to me that the DVD player saves space. It's not like this. (So you'll have to find your place again, using the cumbersome chapter skipping and fast forward/rewind described above.) Overall, I'd say this player is more disappointing than it's worth, and the price isn't lower enough than competition to make it a good buy. This, combined with the noise (so loud I could hear it from multiple rooms when the device was plugged in), made this my least favorite purchase from Revain. Feel free to buy my next DVD player here, it just won't be this specific model.)
