The active substance in this substance is bleach. Which, to be honest, is probably not the most dangerous thing in the world when properly diluted. However I would argue that in the interest of oral health this is not to be gambled on if you can avoid it, it is not what the dental consensus seems to recommend and especially not what is honestly advertised. Words like "gentle" and "soothing" make you think you're buying something less aggressive than alcohol. Even on the bottle, the active ingredient is listed as "stabilized chlorine dioxide," which many consumers will not understand what bleach means. There's a good chance you'll get sick if you swallow too much of this stuff, and I think the company needs to be more open about that.
