Superb gas cartridge damaged by EPA/CARB approved spout. I should have paid more attention to the description. I thought I found a great deal for the price including the detachable spout. If I had read more closely I would have seen that this is a "safe" spout. It turns out that the fuel flows through the spout and hits the end cap when it's open, so it comes out at a 90 degree angle, like an overhead sprinkler. I think this is normal in some cases, but in my case on certain units it caused fuel to slosh out of the filler neck onto all my legs and feet. Luckily, I can fill most of my gear with the glass's built-in spout. The glass itself is great and that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars. I tried dismantling the safety spout but it still flowed very slowly. I will try a few more modifications before buying the basic spout available from some other vendors. With no spout, you can empty the canister in 30-45 seconds. Another note: The specified capacity of 20 liters should correspond to the full internal volume of the canister. My comfort level is closer to 4.9 gallons.
