When I bought a new mouse a few months ago, I decided to save money by not having the charging station. Since the mouse comes with a charging cable I figured I'd plug it in if needed and the charging dock was an expensive but unnecessary addition. Also, I was concerned that the battery wouldn't last long enough and I'd be using it tethered some of the time anyway. However, the battery life has proven to be more than sufficient for all-day gaming and can last for several days with casual use. On the other hand, the recessed position of the USB port that the cable plugs into made it a bit difficult to plug in and quickly became tedious, and I decided the extra savings wasn't worth it when I finally got around to it. load it up. I came to order the "official" Razer charging dock but was happy to find this cheaper alternative. Other reviews have convinced me that this is indeed a viable alternative and I have to agree. It gets the job done, and it's a lot easier to put the mouse on it to charge than fiddling with plugging in the cable.
