Over the years I've made several upgrades to my late 2011 15-inch MacBook Pro, including upgrading the RAM, replacing the hard drive with an SSD, and putting in a new battery. This is by far the easiest upgrade and one that is very useful. If the original rubber feet fall off, it leaves an open hole in the bottom of the case for dirt and dust to enter. This can have serious consequences, depending on how you use your computer and when you open it for cleaning, if any. These rubber feet are very easy to install. For myself I removed the bottom of the case, wiped with alcohol, pressed new legs and replaced the bottom of the case. But if that seems like too much work for you, you don't even have to remove the bottom case. Just make sure the surface is clean and free of old glue and press the new parts in. And if that's not enough, this kit includes two sets of high-quality screws. It never occurred to me to replace the original screws, but after opening the bottom of the case more than 10 times, the original screws started to loosen a bit. While this is not critical, it may become a problem in the future. The new bolts come pre-lubricated and are easy to fit. Even with some pressure, they showed no signs of deformation.
