I evicted squatters and I'm staying in the house to keep them out and to clean it up. It's pretty awful -- I can't just walk around in slippers, but wearing regular shoes all the time gets uncomfortable (I'm not wasting good shoes on this place). These boots are a win -- I'm using elastic laces so I can shove my feet in and not worry about tripping (I've had to deter a few intrusions, every second counts), they're comfortable enough to wear for hours on slate tile floors, my feet don't get cold (there's no heat) but they also don't get hot if I'm really running around like in my regular rubber boots, they're cute enough to wear for errands, and they wipe off really well -- they got pretty nasty while mopping but it didn't soak in. I don't know how they'll hold up but as house shoes they're as good as my UGGs. I wasn't expecting such good boots for the price, they're a steal.
