I bought these for my 5 year old twins and they love them! They are easy to use. My 5 year olds could do everything themselves. They have a small flashlight which my kids love. To be honest, the charge lasts a very long time. You use them for several days without charging. I like that I can plug it into the wall outlet to charge and not have to throw away a lot of batteries. As for range, I'm not sure because we weren't too far apart during use. But they're for kids and they're a hit!
