Durable and versatile, this mic stand does exactly what I need in my music room. When I'm recording, I only have to use the mic when I'm recording the first two tracks. Then I have to get him out of the way. The footprint of this stand is small enough that it doesn't get in my way and since I use it at its lowest height I don't worry about tightening this part so I can just fold it out of the way when I need to it doesn't. Or because it's easy to move, I can just pick it up or move it to another part of the table. One of the advantages of this arrangement for me is that I can use it at an angle that helps me not bang the guitar on the table. (I don't need a microphone in the middle of the keyboard.) Definitely worth the money!
