I've been buying Asics for about 10 years after my wife recommended them as great shoes for Achilles tendon support. So far I am very satisfied with my experience with Asics products. I recently bought this pair and at first I liked the mat, but I noticed that after only 3 months this comfort started to wear off. I started to feel swelling and less support in my right leg. I'm surprised by this considering I haven't run in them and only used them as work shoes. I went to Asics with my problem and they basically told me to kick rocks. I kept wearing them thinking they would "break" but they didn't. In fact, the decline in support has progressed. In addition to this experience, I recently discovered that the upper was torn and separated from the sole. I am very disappointed with this purchase. It was an expensive mistake.
