We got them for a week long beach vacation where we knew we would be in the sun a lot. For that purpose they were fantastic. My only complaint is that the pattern and lettering came off fairly quickly and the material on one of the shirts started to pile up a bit over the course of a few days. However, none of our children got sunburned and they enjoyed playing with them all week. would recommend.
