The chain length is suitable for any height and the handbag is thick enough for $7. The only problem I had was the top flap detaching from the part that was attached to the bottom. I was able to put it back on and was grateful to see it as I sat because I was at the wedding when it happened. It was also the first time I carried a bag. It arrived last Wednesday and I wore it for reference last Friday.
