Review on 🧊 NORCOLD INC. NRF60 - High-Performance 2.1 cu ft Portable Refrigerator/ Freezer by Rud Starks

We received this product two days ago and it is working perfectly now. It cools down very quickly and seems to hold the set temperature. The device looks well made and runs very quietly. We plan to use it on two trips this summer in our SUV and plug it into the rear 12vdc outlet. Hope everything goes well. The areas that bothered me were in another review I read that said the Norcold was made in Ohio, USA. I even confirmed this with the manufacturer's customer service before I placed my order. The first thing that caught my eye when I received the package was the huge "Made in China" on the Shelby Ohio box. The second issue was that internal documents indicated that the device was manufactured on 3/9/17. As Norcold offers a 2 year warranty I was concerned that the fridge freezer was already out of warranty. Needless to say I contacted Norcold customer service immediately. I was told that the only explanation for "Made in China" was that some of the components might have come from China, but they were assembled in Ohio (not sure I'm buying that). The warranty is for 2 years from the date of purchase (I should email myself a copy of the sales receipt if needed in the future. For now just wait and see how things develop. Stay tuned.
