I wear a real 8.5. As this product didn't come in half sizes I decided on an 8 based on other comments. It was definitely too small. Sent it back and got a 9 Ordered. This one fits perfectly the right length and the sole was so comfortable. However as other reviewers have said the back of the ankle strap was very tight AND the top straps (albeit elastic) were too tight. My feet are quite thin and it forced my skin up and left some pretty good dents on my legs after I took them off and after just a few minutes I wanted to like them like this :(
