Review on Get Quality Prints with HP 78A/CE278D Toner-Cartridges for LaserJet Pro M1536 and MFP P1606 by Jerry Delic

Toner in two packs.

Two packs save you a few bucks and the boxes fit neatly on a shelf. They break up easily. I stayed away from generic cartridges for two reasons. It's not really a gas station. The HP LaserJet toner cartridge isn't just fresh toner, it's essentially a new machine. The drum in the cartridge is new, while the normal cartridge contains a used drum that has only fresh (?) toner added to it. Anyone familiar with laser printers knows that other brands of laser printers need to replace the drums after using multiple toner cartridges. This is one of the reasons why HP cartridges are slightly more expensive, they contain a new toner drum. I've been using HP laser printers since the 80's and unless you print a lot of dark graphics you get a lot more pages for the money than you would with an inkjet printer. (In addition, documents are printed many times faster.)

Pros
  • HP 78A (CE278D) toner cartridges work with: HP LaserJet Pro M1536, P1606.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
