I've been buying the same set since I first tried it in 1981. I swap them out every 7 or 8 years (I'll probably still have my first set, but I love that some things look brand new). Back then they had screw tops which I really miss. I never intended to buy the same ones over and over again, but every time I go shopping nothing catches my eye and then I accidentally stumble across it again. It's like "Bingo!" This time I specifically looked for it and this time I got 2 sets. They look just amazing in any kitchen (I've lived in 8 different places since I first got them). They look good in any kitchen; fits perfectly in your hand and the salt and pepper fall out PERFECTLY. I love cooking with it. I've had some well made ones (my first ones were a little heavier, but I don't want them to be heavier - I actually like them a little lighter), but like everyone, sometimes something gets overlooked on the factory assembly line. Factory sets - give them a chance and try another set. I really wish they would at least make screw caps again. Otherwise, I'll probably always use them. And you can't beat this price.
