Review on Nature-Inspired Knitting Designs: Two Sticks and a String by Gelin Battle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought my second copy!

I'm just moving to Arizona from the Midwest and was looking for a sweater with a Native American or Southwestern theme. There are not only sweaters with Native American motifs, but also arans, kimonos and woven folk patterns. I earned gold with this book! I now have one in my cabin in Minnesota and another in Arizona. I'm halfway through with my first sweater, which is oddly a Cornish Gansey (she called it Guernsey, same difference!) and I didn't notice any pattern. Mistake. I'm not a beginner (or an expert either), but I have a pretty good idea of when something doesn't work, so I'm not afraid to tackle the projects in this book, and I don't mind if I should add my own accents or edit the template if it looks like it's necessary. Also, a good knitting shop will be happy to help you if you have trouble with any pattern. Most of the sweaters in this book are unique, one-of-a-kind designs. You won't see yourself coming and going every time you go to the grocery store. I'm so glad the second copy is still available.
