Just finished installing and even though I was able to attach it to 1 inch thick marble, the knobs turn the wrong way. It's marked H on the left and C on the right, but there's no way of knowing which way the valve is open or closed until you run water through it. The one labeled H turned clockwise to start and C turned counterclockwise to turn on, which is the opposite of what you want. Not critical, but a bit frustrating as the bases are labeled H and C by mistake. I could probably undo the whole thing to fix this, but I'm not going to start this mess after all the marbles are installed. It really depends on the labeling and instructions which were in poor English and didn't make much sense so you had to guess where the rubber grommets go and believe the H is actually hot (hint: it's not).
