Simple science in action.

Put the science to work for you! We all know what causes fog. This is a place where the surrounding atmosphere is at a different temperature than the surface of glass, plastic, etc. Now, for the past two years after my stroke, I have had to use a shower chair due to balance issues. My wife and I bought some "anti-fog" shower mirrors so I could shave while in the shower. None of them have ever worked that far without a fog, and none have ever stuck to the wall. The razor I use is from Dollar Shave Club and is quite heavy compared to the cheap Bic razors. After tinkering in the garage all night, a mirror came in the mail this morning and it was time to shower and shave. It's time to use that mirror first. Firstly (read the instructions), the suction cup will not stick when the wall surface is wet. I rubbed the area where I wanted to stick it with rubbing alcohol to clean the surface and let it dry quickly. After it dried I glued a mirror to it and hung my heavy razor on it. This thing is still hanging on my wall after hanging with a heavy razor all day. All other mirrors I used fell off after about 5 minutes. Once hung up, it's time for a shower and a shave. I take a very hot shower. I turned on the water to bring it up to my temperature. I have a detachable shower head so when the temperature was nice and hot I used the shower head to fill the mirror with hot water and then went to shower. As I showered and sat in the shower chair, I looked in the mirror and saw that the mist was clear! All other mirrors we tested never had a water tank. This simple addition changed the world. The mirror is big enough that I can see my whole face. All the others we tried were very small. this is love One of the things I don't like about these mirrors is that the reflective surface is plastic instead of glass. Since we cannot trust people to have common sense, it must be so. The first person to attach the suction cup to a wet or porous surface, and the mirror will fall, resulting in broken glass with bare feet. Second, since no company can guarantee that the suction cup won't come loose, let's just say it's not worth your safety, so you'll have to use a plastic surface. Well, with that being said, the plastic distorts the reflection a bit. It is not as clear and distinct as a glass mirror. It's just a fact. I don't like one thing, but it's a fact nonetheless. I see reviews from people talking about looking in a mirror and it looks like a mirror in a fun room. This is a plastic surface, not glass! This is to save you from torn legs if the mirror falls off. Personally, I appreciate the fact that the company cares about my safety and not just making a dime off me, which is rare these days. Big size I love it! 2. Science in Action Love it!3. It works. Like it a lot! Added things I like. It spins. I like it. It's easy to drain the water by simply turning it upside down on the swivel. I like it! things I don't like. A plastic surface that distorts the reflection, but not so bad that I can't tell what I'm doing with my razor. Barabel Overall this is the best anti-fog mirror I have ever owned and I wish I had found it on our first anti-fog shower mirror search. TIP: While the mirror is dry, apply shaving cream to its surface. Leave on for a minute or two and then wash off the shaving cream. It also adds an ANTI FOG layer that helps and lasts for weeks.
