I bought two. one for a friend, one i have used on my boat and it's fine, another friend of mine used on a 38ft tow trailer loosened it and he tightened it then tightened it back up and broke the u-bolt, i still wasn't there any problems. I like it and use it with a rattle free locking pin. I wasn't there to get all the details from my friend but this works great for me!
