If you have a laptop larger than 16 inches, do not use this stand. It just can't support the weight of the monitor, causing the stand to fall backwards. When you lift the stand and extend it higher so the laptop sits upright for a more ergonomic position, the laptop slides off the low-profile front bumpers. I am definitely disappointed with the design of this stand. Rather than reconfiguring it I use a couple of nylon spring clips to keep my laptop from sliding off the stand and it works great which is why I give it 3 stars.
