We have had the traditional 8 piece apple scissors for many years. When I saw this I was intrigued and excited as everyone in our family loves apple slices (even the dog). It didn't disappoint! Smaller slices are easier to share and eat, especially for children. Slicing requires a little more pressure than a standard 8 piece food slicer, but once you've got it, it's great! The included base is good too as it doubles the protection for the blades in the drawer and also helps in squeezing out the bits at the end of each apple. Husband agrees, great purchase!
