This leash has potential, but it has design flaws. On the other hand, the material is soft and feels good in the hand. And it's handy to be able to place knots in it to "customize" your shot. The clasp is strong and durable. However, the negative is large and if you are not caught first, you may end up with a rope that is no longer attached to the latch on your dog's collar! The latch is attached by threading the colored ropes through a metal ring and then weaving the ends of these colored ropes back through the braided line. In my case, after about 6 weeks of use, the tucked in ends of the different colored ropes began to unravel and the button attachment to loosen. Had I noticed this earlier, a few proactive transfixation sutures would likely have kept him intact. However, since it was getting a lot untangling when I noticed it, I wrapped it with rope, which should help. So if you buy one, do yourself a favor and reinforce the snap connection before it unravels.
