This is a great product and a huge relief as I've been trying to find some sort of scratching product that will support their claws, keep them interested, doesn't take up too much space and doesn't fall apart since 1997. It is extremely durable and well made, with a siscal rug that they love to dig into and try to rip apart (to no avail) and a canvas border that keeps it firmly together. It's also big enough for them to roll around and take a nap. They especially love doing these things after I treat them with catnip. I used to buy boxes that collapsed after 3 days leaving small pieces; carpet posts they love for a few days but then ignore; and a smaller siscal rug that was fine but didn't scratch well. The only thing that takes it down a star is that the description says the underside would stick to the carpet and not slide, and it doesn't even remotely do that. I solved the problem by placing squares of velcro around the perimeter and taping them to the carpet. When it's done everything will be perfect and my kids will be in heaven.
