About 10 years ago I decided to switch to wooden (plastic) hangers. However, over the years I started collecting more and more wire hangers and adding them to my wardrobe but not my hanger collection. I went to buy more wooden hangers and thought I'd shop around to see what else was out there. I'm glad I did. Premium velvet hangers from MIZGI are now my favorite hangers (unfortunately I have such hangers now). First, they are cheaper. About 50 cents each versus 80-90 cents for wooden Revain Basics. The color (grey) is nice too and the rose gold metal is a sharp touch. But where they really shine is that they really stay on hangers! For years I have struggled (yes, struggled!) with my slippery wooden hangers to take off my pants (hangers). With fine velvet, trousers, shirts, cardigans, etc. do not move. That saved me a lot of time and nerves. After all, (hopefully) no one will see them but you, so it's really about performance. I bought 50 at first and gave my wife 25, but since she didn't start using them, I gradually took her 1 or 2 at a time and used them. There have been claims from other reviewers of similar products leaving felt on their clothes. I haven't found any of this. In terms of potential space savings, I can see it, but haven't fully experienced it yet as I still have so many wooden and wire hangers in my closet. Completely redone over time. Buy with confidence!
