I was concerned that the plastic would be strong enough to hold liquid glass bottles but it seems to do the job well. The plastic is thick. When I first snapped the two holders together they "give" a little and I was like "oh oh" but they just snapped into place and it was fine. It has a short piece of plastic to keep the stack from slipping out of the groove, which is a good thing. Hope this lasts a while. Just be aware that they aren't made of steel or anything like that, so place things in/around them carefully to be safe.
