They are the perfect size to lie on the bottom of my small ice box that I take with me to lunch, 2 sit next to each other and even chill my bottles of water during the day and they come out of the fridge so they are already cool and the ice packs just cool them down and when I get home the ice packs are still cool to the touch. Everything I put in my lunch box stays cool even in this Texas heat. Now my box dose stays in my work cart in direct sunlight but I don't think they work as well in a padded bag but my lunch bot is a small ice box that is better insulated than most lunch box boxes with one soft bag. I use every day and freeze every night.
