Review on 🎧 Enhance Audio Sharing with Belkin Rockstar 5-Jack Multi Headphone Audio Splitter (Black) by Mike Littlejohn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does it allow multiple inputs to a single output on the onboard 3.5mm jack? Yes.

There was a bit of confusion when purchasing because many people, including sellers, did not know if it was possible to have multiple inputs for one output. I can say yes, all 5 sockets can be equipped with input devices. This can be used when you have a single speaker output that you want to output to multiple devices. I've hooked up a PC, an Intel NUC, and a smartphone as inputs, and they all go to a Logitech z623 stereo. I don't notice a drop in clarity when using multiple inputs, but for each active input the volume drops a bit, and distortion is more likely with multiple signals at high volume. Personally, I don't use more than one at a time, so it feels more like a hub to me. There are two things to note about this usage. First of all, it depends on the length and quality of the cable. My NUC, which has an inexpensive sound card but uses a better quality 3.5mm cable, is noticeably louder than my PC, which has a boosted signal and better sound card, but has to go 8 feet over a cheaper 3.5mm -Cable drive. The second thing to note is that if you have more than one active device, one of them can control the volume. For example, my Android phone abruptly mutes all other inputs and takes over the output. I'm sure it has to do with some sort of smartphone audio control feature, but I felt it should be noted. Also, Belkin Rockstar works exactly as I hoped it would.
