Review on Walker 35287 Hardware Bracket by Mike Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is exactly what I need to support the rear of the muffler.

I have a 1990 Chevy K2500 pickup and had my muffler replaced at the shop many years ago... and I lost the lower section of the rear suspension. I could probably fabricate something, but it was much easier and cheaper elsewhere. This works on trucks equipped with a muffler that has two 2.25" exhaust ports and a frame-mounted fitting that it plugs into. It is not shown in the picture so turn it over and insert the formed round piece into the frame holder and place the flat piece under the exhaust pipes with the U-bolt clamp plate between it and the pipe on the bottom. It really helps to get a better clamp connection because the only other suspension after the muffle is the rear where the two exhaust pipes run behind the rear wheel. Without this or a similar clamp it sags right behind the muffler and I couldn't get a tight connection.
