If you still have a landline this is one of the best phones to connect to. The base station's corded phone works during a power outage; The cordless handset has good reception and sound quality (both better than the Uniden CEZAI 998 DECT system I had previously); the answering machine at the base station is quite easy to use; Small wall power supplies use very little power. The cordless extension phone's screen can only display two menu items at a time, and it has two separate buttons instead of a directional pad or an up-down button. together they complicate setup.
