Great for healing tattoos!

I've tried various tattoo wraps (Saniderm, CVS brand waterproof bandage and second skin) and this is probably my favorite at the moment. It's nice and thin, and once the pain and swelling go down you kind of forget it's even on you. I left this bandage on for up to 5 days and it adhered perfectly and protected the tattoo very well. There are several tricks to get good results with this type of bandage. First, the skin around the tattoo must be good. both clean and dry. I like to wipe the area around the tattoo with rubbing alcohol to improve adhesion. Second, work with smaller pieces. I usually cut a strip and stick it on one half of the tattoo or in the middle depending on size and location. It's much easier to patch a few small patches than to apply one large patch to the entire tattoo. Third, cut out all the corners! If you leave sharp corners anywhere, there's a good chance they'll come loose and stick to clothing or something else that could damage the bandage. If you clean everything very well and avoid wrinkles, you shouldn't have any leaks. Also, make sure the bandage extends at least an inch or more around the entire tattoo. It will most likely fill up with plasma and ink and may end up leaking if you don't have enough tabs. I now only use this type of bandage to heal all my tattoos and it is by far the easiest and least painful/irritating method. I found. I would definitely grab a roll of this stuff if you're considering getting a tattoo in the future.
