Ordered 9/10 for my 10 year old daughter - she is 60 pounds and very small overall. It was so obviously small that we didn't even try to put it on her. Luckily I have 4 daughters so the 8 year old (also tiny for her age) gets the first one we ordered. However, it still hugs her waist (not quite big and fluffy as shown in the photos). I really LOVE this look but this is actual purchase information. I would just go one size up unless you have a very small person as some people seem so happy with the fit? We loved it so much I came back to buy the next size up for my eldest daughter :) Happy shopping!
