Doesn't lie flat Best in Nail Art Equipment

They are very cute and love the colors of the autumn leaves. But no matter what I tried, I couldn't get them to stay or lay flat on the nail bed, so even after the top coat they were sticking out and clinging to things. Tried to buff them lightly to repeat the finish but then they immediately came loose or just sanded the edges of the sheets.
