Overall I like these shoes but there are some problems. While shoe experts say that half-size women should go down a size, in my case, that wasn't the case. 9 is too small. My toes are right on the edge, my heels are too close to my back and the arch of my foot feels "wrong". The second issue, and unique to this particular style, is the toe straps. I recently read other reviews about tightening the toe straps with each step. This is no joke. No matter how many times I adjust the straps (it only needs to be done once or twice), after a few steps, the toe straps become so tight that my big toe hurts. I corrected several times and it didn't help. I love black and white and style, but they're making a comeback. :-(I bought a size 10 with a strap and they are perfect.
