Great value for the money. At first I just wanted a mic because it was about $40, but I was going to get a tripod and some sort of phone holder anyway, so I figured why not kill three birds with one stone. I bought the kit and tested the microphone first. It was a bit confusing at first because there were two different 3.5mm audio cables; one was for cameras and the other for smartphones. In addition, the different ends of the 3.5 mm audio cable also play a role. They come with tags that indicate which end goes where. It was my fault for not reading it carefully. The mic sound is great, not a $200 mic great but great for the price. I thought the phone's tripod and grip were plastic, but they turned out to be metal, which is great for durability. I can't wait to use my phone to record.
