Review on Gingher 8-Inch Dressmaker's Shears with Knife Edge by Tamara Ellis

So disappointed with these scissors! I have a sewing set that I've had for years. When we needed a good pair of scissors for "other" purposes, we decided to buy another pair and treat ourselves. Now they are NOT made in Italy but in Mexico. First disappointment. But we hoped they would live up to their history and reputation. But they quickly failed and became more of a problem than a useful tool as we expected. The challenge is figuring out how to sharpen. sending them in for sharpening is free. Until we pay for shipping both ways and a small fee for sharpening, we can buy a new pair. But now we're looking elsewhere. Bought this in 2011.
