I've never seen trays like this before. It's a cool design with a flexible silicone base and a stiffer plastic top. I have to quickly place the tray under the tap and within a minute the cubes pop out easily, just gently press the bottom with my pinky. They're about half the size of my old cubes, but I think I like them better. Hopefully they will hold up to everyday use. Plate lids are a good idea. The palettes are a little crooked and not quite level, it's kind of a flaw but not significant, I like it anyway.
