Review on Ravensburger 17960 Inch Puzzle Pieces by Treyshaun Clena

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Yes - that's a piece of felt and an inflatable tube - a great inexpensive solution!

One reviewer gave this product a 1 star because it consists of an inflatable tube that is "sure to burst", straps that are "sure to get lost" and a felt mat. which comes folded and does not lie flat. The reviewer is right - this product includes a felt mat that folds, an inflatable tube, and straps that are not attached to the felt or tube. For these reasons I give this product 5 stars. Here's why: 1. The inflatable tube is a brilliant idea. Yes, it's true, it can burst when used as an explosive lightsaber. But don't worry - it's made of durable plastic, just like a float. The inflatable idea is actually a plus, not a minus. You can control the stiffness of the hose depending on how much air you add. For jigsaw puzzles with larger pieces you don't need a cylinder that is too stiff as your pieces will be bent. Being inflatable, it can be stored in a much smaller space than, for example, a cardboard tube of the same dimensions. Also, being able to fit in a smaller box helps keep the cost of the item down. Big packages = higher price for customer.2. Yes, the felt was folded (and crumpled) when we received it. Again, the ability to fold into a smaller container helps keep the price down. And as another reviewer mentioned, you can pet it. Over time, it will eventually flatten out on its own. I don't worry too much about it though as we fold it up for storage when not in use. Again, I'm glad to have something that fits into a small space.3. And finally, right, the straps are not fastened. Are you afraid that you might lose the straps? To be honest, if you're afraid of losing sight of small objects, then I don't think puzzles are your pastime. However, the fact that the straps are not fixed is a plus, not a minus, in my opinion. Why? This offers maximum flexibility. First, it's important to be able to completely remove the pipe and straps so they can be placed elsewhere and not take up table space (or worse, hang on the edge of a table and pull out all the felt panels and your puzzle pieces in the ground ) ! This also means you can position the straps as close together as possible or far apart and as close to or away from the ends of the tube, depending on the size of your puzzle. an inexpensive solution that helps you work on the puzzle and then remove it from the dining table when it's time to eat. or play a board game. It's not waterproof. It will not withstand nuclear explosions. And if you carry it under your arm like a loaf of baguette, you're likely to drop jigsaw pieces like Hansel and Gretel, leaving a trail of breadcrumbs in your wake. But if you just need a way to push your puzzle back with relatively few breaks, this is the answer! PS Before buying I thought about making my own puzzle mat out of PVC and felt. It would actually be more expensive (and take more time) than ordering it from Revain. Don't expect miracles. Expect a good product for the price! :-)
