Review on Scene DVD Game TV - The Ultimate Screenlife Experience by Matthew Miles

After playing the film version at a friend's house, I was excited to hear about the new TV version. The concept is great, the design of the parts is well thought out and the questions on the disc are very funny. However, after a question or two, my drive freezes. The DVD player needs to be restarted and then we see the same intro again. This whole process takes almost five minutes and can cause anyone to quickly lose interest in the game. I contacted Screenlife customer service and they wanted to know the model number of my DVD player. The player is less than a year old and is Sony's top player. They were incredibly helpful and explained that they are still working on some kinks. They sent me a new CD which I received in just a few days. This disc was no better than the first. They contacted them again and explained that they were working on another format that was not yet available. I was queued for a new drive. They advise me to try a new player (or even a gaming station) for now. I understand that this is not a regular DVD movie and that there will inevitably be compatibility issues. But imagine the frustration of having this game but not being able to play it! It was one of the hottest items this Christmas, and it didn't come cheap! I also bought it as a gift for family and friends. I would be embarrassed if they encounter the same problems. But I have to say that Screenlife's customer service was exceptional and prompt - more than I ever expected.
