Review on High-Speed USB Flash Drive 128GB from MOVESPEED - Portable USB 3.0 Memory Stick with Zinc Alloy Body - Jump Drive Speed up to 100MB/s - Ideal USB Storage Disk and Zip Drive by Agata Schultz ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I don't see the good quality, it's nothing but downsides.

The claimed reading speed of 130MB/s is roughly matched by the actual reading speed of around the same value. Writing Slowly (even on USB 3.1 port). As the RAM buffer fills up, the speed appears to be satisfactory, but after a while, the rate settles down to a constant 20 MB per second. The plastic USB connector is quite weak and easily bent by accidental finger touch; I did not like this feature. Finally, the sandisk company's practice of misleading customers about the capacity of its drives came as a major disappointment to me. This drive's packaging clearly states that a manufacturer defines 1 GB as 1000000000 bytes. In this case, we're comparing the actual storage space to the advertised 64GB. 64000000000/1024/1024/1024=59.6GB The actual storage capacity is 57.3 GB, not the 59.6 GB advertised. My other flash drives and hard drives all match their stated capacities, but sandisk was short by 2.3 GB (roughly 4% of the total). This USB drive is worth a grand total of 2 points. If the volume hadn't been tricked, the correct answer would have been 3.

Pros
  • Limited in stature and girth
Cons
  • Worse than expected low writing speed, fragile plastic connector, and smaller than advertised capacity.
