Absolutely 5 Stars. This thing is heavy and strong, and its parts are held together by strong metal parts inside. The whole thing folds in between small, straight pieces - each piece is attached next to it, essentially with a small hinge. It arrived "folded". Undoubtedly, this rubber will stand up to years of use. It's thick and durable. Does the polished part on the surface appear to be woven into some of the smaller tire segments? So it looks like some of them pick up dirty stuff along the way as the surface material wears away? hard to say. Anyway, other reviewers have said they've been using it for years and I'm not surprised. I didn't notice any particular smell from the item (although I didn't hold it up to my nose), so it's completely harmless. The only thing that might not quite add up is the styling - as you can see the aesthetic is a bit industrial. But to be honest I don't expect to watch it much, I just rub my feet on it every now and then. Like I said, the quality seems absolutely second to none.
