The tool didn't work out of the box. The push rod didn't move on the first try, but I heard a slight "hiss" as the pressure was released. Later tests showed no hydraulic pressure and no resistance when inflating the Porta Power grip. I noticed a small amount of hydraulic oil when disconnecting. The instructions briefly mentioned "check the oil level" but there was no obvious fill hole and in my experience with hydraulic equipment if there isn't a leak somewhere it's usually a relief valve and it's not easy to fix so I have I decided to return it for a refund.
