This is a great solution. A great start for YouTubers and podcasters. It is adjustable. That looks great. No giant space pig. There are heavier ones out there, but that should handle most capacitors just fine. I'd be a little nervous about some heavy tube capacitors. For example a heavy clone of C12. With a regular condenser mic, you need to turn the mic upside down for on-table use, like the picture I've attached. When you do this, some shock absorbers will touch the base. Make sure it doesn't touch or it will defeat the purpose of the damper. For the RE20 guys, this style works well depending on how far you've stretched it. In the picture I use Advanced Audio DM20. MAY be heavier than RE20. I am not sure. But in the position I WANT to put it in, it makes me nervous. It can easily hit the ground. In this situation, a heavier base is preferable.
