If you buy these headphones, have them shipped and sold through Amazon first to ensure you are getting a genuine product and working warranty. I was casually browsing through the headphones and came across these cheap monster headphones. At the low $40 price point, I figured I had nothing to lose by trying these out. They come professionally packaged, but the packaging isn't as fancy as many Monster products, but still makes a lovely gift. The earbuds come with a small booklet, about 5 pairs of earbuds, a tough little black monster case and a 3.5mm right-angle extension cable (completely pointless). Not sure why this cable is included as the headphone jack needs to be at right angles and is only about 4 inches long and only adds weight to the headphones (which is problematic). This is not an adapter, they are both 3.5mm. The microphone and volume controls work well for music and taking calls. Sound: The typical monster sound they are known for. If you're a Beats Tour fan, you'll most likely love this. Tight and slightly warm bass that is present along with clear mids and highs. Either you like the sound, or you want something less bassy and more neutral (which you pay more for). Build Quality: The Monster isn't known for its bulletproof build quality, so I knew that when I bought them, but the actual look of these headphones is very cheap. The cable is not made out of the same material as Beat Tours or Gaga's Heartbeats or any of their other flat cable headphones. The cable is narrow, has many kinks and is guaranteed not to get tangled. It all looks pretty cheap, which is disappointing. I wouldn't check the build quality of the cable or the earbuds as most likely they won't last. Comfort/Fit: These earbuds won't stay in your ears. I've tried all the tips and they fall out because they stick out far out of the ear and have very big ends making them heavy. As mentioned, the right angle jack extension also makes it heavier if you decide to go with one. I resorted to these headphones with matching foam tips to hold them in. The look of these headphones isn't as stylish as some of the other Monsters, but they're in a lower price bracket. If you like the sound quality and can get them to stay in your ears, then they're probably worth it, but don't expect too much from them.
